Just a prayer

You are the formless One without a second of the Hebrews

You are "i am that i am" of Moses

You are "there is nothing but God" of the Sufis

You are "there is nothing but Allah( God )" of Islam

You are the Father of the Christians

You are the Mother of the Hindus

You are the Unified Field of Science

You are the Source and Goal of all creation

You are the Absolute Unbounded Bliss Consciousness of the

 Veda

You are our Mother and Father

We are your Children

We feel you as Love and Silence within our hearts

Yet we identify with our bodies and minds

Ever engaged in outward expressions of name and form

Ever seeking you in name and form

You answer our prayers by assuming a form

And blessing us with your holy acts of love and kindness

You are but One God, yet your names and forms are many

Thank you for creating us out of your own being

And hiding yourself deep within our hearts

Thank you for the interesting trials and tests in life

Which are great opportunities to learn what is temporary

And what is permanent

Thank you for the inner strength and courage to do what is

 right

Thank you for glimpses of your presence as silence,

 stillness, peace

Thank you for glimpses of your love and compassion

Thank you for glimpses of accepting "what is"

May your love awaken in the hearts of all

And may your will be done in earth as it is in heaven
